How we helped the business

A major challenge lay in implementing a custom product detail page (PDP) that met the brand’s very specific requirements. One of the core functionalities was a rule preventing customers from adding items to their cart until they had selected a minimum of six products per size. At the same time, the brand was migrating from an outdated website, which meant we had to adapt a large catalog of bulk products and integrate multiple apps to replicate and enhance functionality within the new system.

The brand also required unique pathways for its audiences, which meant designing and developing two distinct homepage experiences, one tailored for first-time visitors arriving from external sources, and another personalized for returning clients, ensuring each audience was met with a relevant and engaging journey.

While designing the Elan USA online store, we collaborated closely with the client to deliver an optimal solution that balanced aesthetic appeal with functional clarity. Every design decision was guided by the need to create a visually engaging experience while ensuring the site’s functionality remained intuitive and user-friendly.

Customizations

01 Implemented an app with custom registration requirements for new vendors.

Recognizing that different audiences have different needs, we designed two distinct homepage experiences: one tailored for returning or registered clients, and another for new or external visitors.

  • Display exact quantity buttons for the number of pieces needed: Customers could quickly select precise quantities, improving accuracy and reducing ordering errors.
  • Implement a grid layout on the left side of the main image: This provided a clearer, more organized visual presentation of the product.
  • Ensure a specific image ratio: Maintaining consistent image ratios ensured a polished and professional look across all products.
  • Restrict the selector so customers could only add six pieces of each size per product: This enforced business rules while preventing accidental over-ordering.

We developed a structured catalog page that made browsing large product inventories simple and intuitive, helping clients find items efficiently.

We successfully migrated all products, including bulk and complex listings, into the new platform while preserving accuracy, images, and product details, ensuring a smooth launch.
